In today’s episode, I traveled to northern Israel in search of rapids on the Jordan River. We ended up between the Lebanon and Syrian borders at a Kfar Blum Kayaks in Kibbutz Kfar Blum. The drive up north between the different landscapes and terrain from fields and hills to mountain ranges kept my children entertained during the long drive. Once you arrive at Kfar Blum Kayaks, you will find plenty of parking. Grab your stuff, head to the ticket counter and wait for your quick bus ride to the starting point for your rafting adventure down the Jordan River.

When you arrive, you will get your life vests and receive a short briefing on the rules while you wait for your raft to be ready. Kfar Blum Kayaks works like a machine, so the wait is not very long. Once eveyone boards the raft, you will be launched into the river with paddles and a smile. You can raft more or less at your own pace while enjoying the cool water, beautiful tree line, and bonding time with friends and family. We also found several spots along the river bank to stop and get out, have a snack, and cool off from all the paddling.

Towards the end of the rafting area, there is a very wide rock wall that creates a nice rapid to end the experience. There is also a photogher perched on the river bank on the RIGHT SIDE catching those priceless reactions for you to enjoy and purchase later 🙂 Once you are done rafting you are brought back to the main area where you bought your tickets which also includes an adventure park and camping area. The adventure park includes a ropes park, 90 meter long zip line into the Jordan River, and a climbing wall.

We had such an amazing time during our trip and will definitely be back as soon as we can. I highly recommend adding this to your must-experience list when exploring this beautiful country.
